Wireless links and characteristics

Control Categories

There are 2 main control categories,

1.     Democratic
  • Unlicensed spectrum
  •  Typical of Wi-Fi, Blue Tooth
  •  Multiple paradigms (Access point coordination)
    wireless links
    Wireless Links
2.     Dictatorial
  •  Licensed spectrum
  •  Central control in the cells
  •   Typical of Wi-Max, Cellular phone
Centralized dictatorial systems precisely divide the time slots, but typically it will have a slot for new stations
If a democratic protocol is operating in a centralized mode such as coordination from a Wi-Fi access point, if it is normal for a competing set of stations on the same frequencies to appear?
Common Wireless Link Protocol Features
You have to do active or passive scanning at multiple frequencies to find and control them. Find the services they offer and credentials what they offer before you authenticated.
Wireless Link Features
  •   Reliability: You can see high variability with obstacles, distance, time etc. It means performance and reliability of one’s need, link level re-transmission and depends on the condition packet fragmentation happens
  •  Access Security: Authentication between a base station and a client is required
  •   Data Security: Easy blocking, injection makes a good default security
Advantages
  •   Mobility
  •   Adaptability
  • Cost-effectiveness
It is cheaper when compared to wired network. Because of cable less between computers and lower long term cost effective. Reduction of cables reduces the trip hazard that causes by cables running along the floor in most of the homes. Mostly wireless equipment will be plug and play that helps to reduce the total cost such as installation, and thus it eliminates redundancy.
Setup Wireless Links
You have a bit of knowledge about wireless and computer systems. It is divided into 4 sections, we will just cover 1 from this article, and you will find other 3 from another article which we update with our next approach
  •  Wireless networking
  •   Computer networks and IP addresses
  •   How to change IP addresses on a PC running XP, Win 7 on a wireless device
  •  Setting up client modes (bridge and access point)
Wireless Networks
It is a system used to link 2 or more PCs together without using normal cables. Just think if you need to link 2 offices for shifting data’s with opposite sides in a town you have to dig the road, need copper cables between 2 points. But if you send less data then wireless installation costs only few pounds and thus it offers a permanent solution.
A wireless unit has antenna and radio present inside it, so it easily sends radio signal then at another end if you see the unit listens for the radio signal then it sends back the data. Certain requirements is necessary,
  • Radio must be in good condition to send a decent signal and should be more sensitive to reply back
  • Antennas able to pick the signals that come from the right direction. It needs to point at each other, because it send a narrow beam in one direction
CDI Security Services founded in 1998, provide high quality, innovative solutions to the customers. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction that we already doing year after year. We have skilled, professional staffs with loads of experience in installing the wireless products within minutes.
